try getting ready in the morning wearing only the underwear you look the best in (only buy underwear you feel the best in) or get ready naked. it’s like a scientifically proven fact that all boobs are amazing, and i’ve discovered there’s this weird victoria’s secret angel switch that gets flipped when you’re nude putting on makeup or brushing your hair. you just look like a fox.

don’t be scared to do things you’re really good at in front of people (they want to see) and don’t be scared to talk about how good you are at things (there is a difference between arrogance and confidence, and we’ve been told repeatedly that being proud of ourselves is cocky and unattractive: FUCK THAT, WE’RE JUST THE SHIT, WE CAN’T HELP IT)

in recent years i’ve discovered that i’m super hot. you also happen to be super hot. i think “super hot” is a combination of attractive, unique, and comfortable. it just took me a long time to learn how to make myself feel and look super hot, learn what you need to do to make yourself realize you’re super hot, and do that. (if you think i’m an idiot and i’m just telling your to put on tons of makeup, read the next bullet)

make yourself feel pretty. makeup is not a bad thing. no, you don’t need it. no, you don’t have to have it to be “super hot.” but the coolest thing about it is that it’s a useful tool for shaping your hotness into exactly what you’d like to show to the world, and that’s badass. it’s okay if you aren’t born looking the way you feel inside, cause you have the power to tweak. that also goes for your hair, your clothes, etc. for example, do you think your head looks like a penis when your hair is short? grow it out. do you absolutely love when your head looks like a penis? THEN FUCK YEAH KEEP IT THAT WAY

be honest as much as you possibly can. to yourself, be honest all the time. if you find you are having a really hard time telling certain people the truth, then maybe they are the wrong people for you. do you trust them? do they make you feel bad about yourself? NAH DUDE FUCK THAT

if you are uncomfortable, you are instantly not super hot. i don’t mean like if you are wearing shoes you love and they hurt your feet. i mean, if you’re shaving your legs every single fucking day and you hate it but you don’t want anyone to say anything. instead, you should only shave your legs so you can feel the pleasure of your smooth legs against the sheets. or because YOU like them shiny when you’re at the beach. and if you like your legs hairy, don’t shave them! only change yourself if to YOU, that is super hot.

the only person that deserves anyone as super hot as you, is a person that knows they are super hot. and a person that realizes you and fawns in the glorious light that is your super hotness.

don’t go to work if you have nightmares about it. quit and get a new job. you maybe probably aren’t going to love it (hey, maybe you WILL), because it’s work. but if it is affecting your well-being to the point of suffocation then quit. there are tons of shitty jobs that are less shitty than that one.

you really need to have a catalog of things that you know make you feel better. you will come across these things slowly and randomly. but remember them, and practice them when you feel shitty. you’re going to feel shitty, so be stocked up on plenty of antidotes.

hurting yourself is so fucking not okay. i cut myself and all i got were these lousy scars. i starved myself and my pretty hair fell out and my brain was all fucked every time i ate anything for years. i tried to kill myself and had to stay in a mental hospital for the most miserable, depressing, loneliest week of my life. i drank myself into a stupor for a couple of months straight and all it did was hinder me learning how to actually help myself and solve my own mental issues. stop all that shit, and start figuring out how to love and how to feel better and how to be badass when you’re all alone and how to feel super hot.

alright, I haven’t found a tumblr post with this image yet and I feel compelled to write about it… but I’m unsure where to write it. Here goes…

Today we learned more details surrounding the release of the highly anticipated follow-up to Sick Kids. Since the aforementioned sophomore record came out (May 17, 2011), Weerd Science toured the UK and performed on the entire Vans Warped Tour (pulling double duty both drumming for Terrible Things and emceeing a joint set with MC Lars). After Warped Tour wrapped up, Josh Eppard left Terrible Things and rejoined Coheed and Cambria. During that time several new singles were posted on bandcamp (Sick Kids b-side, Stellar Young’s “All The Effort,” “Infinity,” “Ugly Americans”), and a few previously unreleased demos found their way online (“Rumors,” “Coke Whores & Cold Sores”). The “Red Light Juliet” EP will be released May 21, 2013 on weerdscience.bandcamp.com.

The artwork, pictured above, was revealed several hours ago on PropertyofZack. By the way, Josh posted a weekly blog on PoZ during Warped Tour 2011. First. Second. Third. Fourth. Actually, Josh even posted a blog on Weerd Science’s facebook page earlier today (dude usually sticks to twitter).

So it is almost time for Red Light Juliet (12 days!) and as the date gets closer I just wanted to take a minute to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Weerd Science along the way. It is truly a labor of love for everyone involved. To those who appreciate the music, we promise we won’t lay dormant for another 2 years!

Red Light Juliet was recorded in closets of houses and after hours in studios when we could get in. It is in earnest a guerilla style record and to tell ya the truth…. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I just want you guys to know what it means to us that anyone gives a shit about our unique brand of hip hop. We’ll be releasing R.L.J. digitally on 5/21/13 on bandcamp with no money or promotion or any of that “official” nonsense. I personally love the idea of having a direct channel to the fans and with you guys onboard we can annoy the world together. Let’s bother some people. Help us spread the word and put Weerd Science in peoples ears so we can make more music. Ultimately that’s what this is about. We just wanna make more records. And as always we need your help to do that.

There ya go. Self-recorded. Will be self-released. As if the Weerd Science music couldn’t get any more “self!” This is kind of similar to The “Weekend At Dirty’s” EP, but not really. That EP is a collection of “we got a day off let’s make a beat and see what happens” tracks and each track was released individually soon as they were completed for free download on both soundcloud and bandcamp. That was before most people (including myself) really knew how incredible the bandcamp system is for releases, and how truly liberating it can be for an artist… being directly between your music and your fans without any middlemen.

Come to think of it, Weerd Science also put up the first Kickstarter I’ve backed… and our family has put up a lot of kickstarters since. W.S. tends to be ahead of the modern music industry curve. Heck, he was even on twitter before Coheed was. Shit, Josh was the first Coheed and Cambria band member to release a “side project” album, back in 2005.

“Red Light Juliet” is a full thought out EP. It’s nearly an LP. I put it in quotes because it’s technically an EP, but I really want to italicize to convey how much of a thorough release it is!

Anyway, R.L.J.’s art was designed by Kingston, NY artist, Geddes Jones. Geddes’ graffiti work is renown because the town actually embraced it. The New York Times went more in depth with the story. Check it out, it’s cool as shit. His artwork is so vivid and breathtaking. More of his stuff is up at geddesjones.com.

I’ll have more info on #RedLightJuliet straight from the horse’s mouth on Wednesday. A few days ago I dropped by Brandi Studios between R.L.J. sessions for a chat with Josh, Dirty Ern, and Chris Bittner. Josh also picked out a dope playlist. That’s all gonna air as Neeshcast #42 on Radio Xenu Wednesday night at 10pm Eastern.

But I’ve gotta get some sleep, man. Tomorrow’s the first ever Davenport Cabinet show. It’s goin’ down at the teensie, intimate, Tuscan Cafe in Warwick, NY.
